Amplify Your Impact: Your Voice Matters

By Tricia Scott.

How often do you find yourself holding back?

Perhaps you've been invited to speak from the stage, had a chance to raise your hand in a meeting and offer an opposing view, speak up about injustice or advocate for yourself in the home, and you turned it down, sitting on the sidelines wondering if what you had to say would make a difference anyway.

We've all been there, struggling with self-doubt and hesitation. I, too, was once asked to publicly offer an opinion about financial forecasting, a job I'd done for 20 years. In that moment, I could barely remember my own name in a room full of peers. If this resonates with you, know you're not alone in this struggle.

Women are truly amazing. We hold everything together, run households, work, create, balance, and mediate. We can even grow another entire human in our bodies if we choose! Yet here we are, ruminating over whether what we have to say is good enough and if it matters enough to raise our hand or our voice.

Your voice matters, and you, as an individual, matter.

Speak up, especially when the words matter to your heart. Your thoughts and words are an essential contribution to the world, and having the courage to share them is an act of service, not only because of their impact but also because you might just inspire another woman on the sidelines to raise her voice too. Together, we rise.

If your voice shakes, so be it. Speak up anyway. You're here because you're a leader; it's time to take action.

I believe in you (always).
