What is an Expert?

The definition of an expert, according to Merriam-Webster ‘one with the special skill or knowledge representing mastery of a particular subject’.So who would be classed as the ‘Right’ expert? Someone with mastery in a particular business area (or all of business) in which you seek help.

Nowadays, we are so spoilt by so many experts and information available to us that we question whether we need an expert to help us. I mean, we can get that information from youtube, Instagram and other social platforms - right? Maybe to an extent - but how many days, weeks, months and even years will you spend doing that and trying to build your business?

When I started my business, I assumed that I would need a lot of money, and I would have all the business set up costs of an office and a team of people. I also assumed I would need an expensive website and all the other subscriptions to take care of my social media and much more.

Wow, looking back - I’m surprised I started at all!

So many things were stopping me from progressing and growing my business, and I didn’t even know it. I thought I was doing a great job of saving money by training myself to do all the possible things I could - from web design to accounting to event management, sales & marketing, and social media management, to name a few.
