The Promises We Break (to Ourselves)

Some weeks was a blur in the best possible way.

Think: the launch of the most delicious vegan café (yes, I ate everything), being sketched live (wild), singing my lungs out at W.A.S.P. like it was 1989, and spending a full day wrapped in pink goal-setting energy with women who make “unstoppable” look like an understatement.

And that was just the start.

There were meetings with the Female CEO Dream Team (plotting big things), collaborations sparking over coffee, Reiki that reset my entire nervous system, and the launch of a brand-new Community Interest Company that feels huge. I also carved out time to map my last-quarter goals - because if this year has taught me anything, it’s that we get to choose to finish strong, not frazzled.

As I sat down to put together an end-of-the-week recap, I was reminded that growth doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens when you drag yourself out from behind the laptop or phone screen, walk into the room, and connect with people who see you, challenge you, and lift you higher.

Supporting small businesses isn’t just “nice.

Being in the room with people who inspire you isn’t just “networking.

Catching up with people who matter isn’t just “social.”

It’s fuel.

The question is - are you going to burn it on busywork, or use it to finally do the stuff you swore you’d get done this year?

I’ve done a LOT in the last twelve months (writing these weekly Love letters is a great way to look back and remember)but if I’m honest, there are still things lingering on the to-do list that keep getting carried over (and over). And surprise, surprise, they’re usually the things just for me, not business. How often do we put those off until when… (insert any manner of excuses here)?

It’s not just you (and me), it's every person I speak to around this time of year, so this week I encourage you to think about what’s lingering on that list. Are you really showing up fully for yourself? Don’t leave it until December, when your to-do list magically expands to 10,000,000 extra tasks and you start eyeing the gravy ladle as a potential offensive weapon to be used in the case of emergency (like if one more person asks if dinner is ready yet while you're juggling seventeen plates and a screaming toddler).

And if visibility is one of the things on your list, keep an eye out, because later this week I’ll be sharing some ways we can help you be seen around the world before 2026. No more waiting. We’re making it happen.

I believe in you (always).
