My Energy Healing ExperienceOct 11, 2020

These past few months have been really tough. I’ve been trying to navigate through a really difficult time and find my feet in what is my ‘new normal’ of now being a single mum. To give a little context without going into too much detail, I have recently split from a 10- year relationship and have found myself alone, angry, bitter and scared. It’s been a lot for me to handle and everything is new and frightening, so I wanted to try some things that may help me see some light at the end of the tunnel.
Obviously, mental health is just as important as physical health and my mental health was suffering big style! I was already on antidepressants and I had tried conventional therapy but it just wasn’t for me, so I started looking into energy healing and focusing on releasing energy blockages in the body. I started doing chakra meditations and using crystals, and lots of very ‘woo-woo’ things because the ‘typical’ routes such as counselling or therapy were not helping me.
I met a lady called Mandi who is an energy healer and I did some work with her. She lay me on a bed and walked me through a guided meditation whilst placing her hands onto different parts of my body. At first, I didn’t really experience much but after a while I had a huge burst of emotions. Emotions I didn’t even know were there, emotions that must have been trapped inside of me for who knows how long.
I was able to release these emotions that had been stored and left feeling 10 times lighter. It was incredible. I don’t know what happened or how it happened, but it was profound!
Fast forward to now, I’m off my antidepressant medication, I feel happy again and more like the ‘old me’. Amazing things have been happening in my life and I feel like I have come home to myself. Yes, I still have very difficult days but I feel like I’m not carrying as much baggage around with me and I feel as though a huge emotional weight has been lifted. I’m finally excited for my future.
Energy healing has had such a positive effect on me compared to conventional treatments and it is one of the best things I have done for my mental health. I will continue to use this practice for as long as I need to.
