Fun is a frequency (and yes, your business needs more of it)
By Tricia Scott.
When did you last have real fun in your business?
I mean the kind where you lose track of time, laugh out loud, and actually remember why you started this wild adventure in the first place?
If you’re staring at this screen with a blank look and a bit of a head tilt, don’t worry, you’re in great company. I’ll be the first to admit that even I find myself submerged for weeks at a time in the “doing” instead of the fun of it. I get caught up in the daily grind, glorifying “busy” like a badge of honour.
But then, I look at someone like Jessika Von Innerebner, our incredible recent cover feature. Jess is the absolute embodiment of fun, and she’s a living reminder of a truth we often forget: Fun is a frequency.
It’s (very) easy to dismiss play as a luxury, especially when the invoices are piling up, or we’ve overcommitted to networking this week because the us that was loving that idea last week is nowhere to be seen today, but this is where the woo meets the work. It’s actually neurobiology:
System Tuning: Fun tunes your entire system, brain, body, and business, to receive.
Magnetism: Your nervous system chills out when you’re lit up, making you ultra magnetic to clients and opportunities.
Brain Power: Joy activates reward circuitry and sharpens your ability to solve problems and spot patterns.
So really, Joy isn’t just good vibes. It’s good f*cking business.
And while we’re talking about it, let's address the elephant in the room - Somewhere along the line, we decided it had to be hard to be worthy. It doesn’t.
What if your next big breakthrough isn’t hiding in yet another overly complex funnel, but in more movement and more colour? I want you to consider this Biz Love Letter as your permission slip to do the things that delight you.
- Write that IG post you actually want to write.
- Lean into the offer that feels “too easy” because it lights you up.
- Lean all the way in.
That’s your frequency tuning. That’s your alignment. That’s your magic. Fun is fertile ground, and joy is your lighthouse.
Now, go follow her.
I believe in you (always).
