Create Abundance by Understanding Money Blocks and Limiting Beliefs

Many people don’t realise that the first step to creating abundance comes from understanding your money blocks and limiting beliefs.

In my recent blog, ‘Abundance is Your Birthright’, I shared 13 money blocks and how they manifest in our lives (and particularly for those with a strong Martyr Archetype). This time around we’re shining a light on the blocks and limiting beliefs of the Innocent Archetype.

Here we go...

Fear

I see this play out all too often with women I work with. At first, they set amazing goals for their business and their life, but then they experience some false starts and setbacks. Then procrastination sets in and they become so paralysed by fear that they give up on their ideas.

Remember, ‘fear’ stands for ‘false evidence appearing real’. With the ‘Innocent’ in particular, their primary fear is abandonment.

When I’m working with ‘Innocents’, my aim is to help these women visualise their success so they can work towards their goals. At the start, things are often fuzzy and unclear and their goals feel too big and unrealistic. So, they make a vision board to help clarify their vision. I do this for myself too - I love looking at them and seeing how many of my goals I’ve already achieved, especially in the areas of fun, leisure, and self-care!

Trusting

The Innocent Archetype is very trusting. They tend to trust that someone will come and rescue them, and generally rely on their partner or someone else for financial support

When this archetype is strong, it’s important to learn that you have the power within you to have all that you desire, and the power to make positive changes that open the door to abundance.

Repressed feelings

When we repress our feelings and don’t stand up for what we believe in, we feel unsupported. It’s so important to express your feelings and have your voice heard!

Don’t keep yourself small by not saying how you really feel about things that matter to you.

Happy-go-lucky

Most of the happy-go-lucky people among us are really just trying to please everyone else before themselves. They’ve become experts at wearing the ‘I’m managing fine’ mask, but internally they’re struggling to cope! By continuing to be a people pleaser you’re not making yourself a priority or looking after yourself. You must be the priority in your life!

Non-confrontational

Just because, for instance, you don’t earn all the money in your household doesn’t mean you don’t have a say! As I said before, you have a voice and you’re allowed to use it - permission from others is not required!

Wanting to be rescued

Believe me when I tell you, you have everything inside you that you need to create a great life. Yes, you might need to take a course or brush up on a few skills, but the one thing you’re already very capable of doing is making the decisions needed to help you become financially educated and aware.

Take back your power!

Anxiety

Anxiety around money is so prevalent with women. Women worry about whether they’ll have enough to pay the bills, whether there will be enough for a pension, and so on. Anxiety and stress can be avoided when you take control and understand your money behaviours, and what’s needed to become financially literate.

Powerlessness

Oh, I remember this one well!! I used to feel exactly that before I had my own money from coaching. I was always overspending and at the end of the month had very little left and so felt powerless. I promised myself over and over it would get better but nothing changed for me until I consciously did something about it and looked at my unconscious beliefs and changed them.

Remember this - no one but you can make you feel powerless. It’s a choice you're making!

Indecisiveness

When you need to make a decision about investing in something or what your next step is in your business, you have to be willing to take control - there’s no place for indecisiveness here!

Having a plan and following it step by step will help you take decisive action, even when you’re thrown a curveball.
