Before You Burn It All Down, Try This

By Tricia Scott.
I've recently returned from a weekend retreat with the brilliant people at Success Engineers, and let's just say - it was not your average business event.
Picture this: Nanpantan Hall, tucked away in the trees with fields on every side. An agenda that left space for the in-between moments with time to breathe, reflect and reconnect. Add a private chef who should honestly have his own fan club (Matt, you legend), and a group of fellow business owners who actually get it. The weekend mixed business ideas and strategy, creativity, deep conversation, sound baths, Thai Chi (with 'The Health Magician', Rich Morley) and a whole lot of play.
While I know the importance of balance and even practise it, I clearly needed the reminder.
Rest isn't a luxury. It's part of the work.
Dino said it perfectly: If you're always below deck fixing the engine, no one's actually steering the ship.
Let me tell you, that hit me right between the to-do lists.
This weekend gave me the space to pause and remember why I started. The excitement. The creativity. That buzz when an idea hits, and you can't wait to bring it to life.
So here's your nudge for the week: Find the wonder. Get outside. Ask better questions.
Especially ones like:
"What would feel exciting right now?"
"Where am I heading—and do I even want to go there?"
"What would feel good to create right now?"
You're not behind. You're building.
Rest is a strategy.
Wonder is fuel.
Play counts.
Not burning out is a strategy, and a smart one at that.
I believe in you (always).
