You Belong in the Room

In case you missed it, Laura Pearman and I recently took a little trip to London… and I’m still riding the energy of it.

We were invited to host the red carpet at The Wealthy Woman Conference (Yes. Us. On a red carpet. In London. You know, casual), hosted by our current cover star, Rebecca Barr and from the moment we walked in, you could feel it.

Not just “this is a nice event” energy.

But that energy.

The kind that quite literally hums through the room when women are building things that matter. The kind that makes you sit up straighter and think oh, we’re doing this now.

The room was packed with women creating incredible businesses across industries and with different stories, but the same thread running through it all: an absolute refusal to play small (our favourite).

We spoke to so many brilliant women about what wealth actually means today -  not just money, but freedom, time, impact, choice. The conversations were open, nuanced, and so needed. (Keep an eye on Instagram — you’ll want to hear what they had to say.)

But what really stayed with me wasn't just the speakers (although there were fabulous). It wasn’t even the opportunities or the fact that there was a BioCharger machine (An energy revitalisation device that stacks 4 naturally occurring, scientifically backed energies essential to our bodies electrical balance) in the foyer. It was the proximity.

Because when you place yourself in a room like that, something shifts.

You start thinking differently.
You hold yourself differently.
You see what’s possible… differently.

And suddenly, the things you’ve been dreaming about don’t feel quite so far away anymore.

Now, let's get to one of the most surreal moments for me. Natasha Lee, Female CEO columnist and founder of #ThatGirl, flew in from the US as the dinner speaker.

We’ve built businesses alongside each other for nearly a decade.
We’ve collaborated.
We’ve supported each other through life's ups and downs.
We’ve been in each other’s corners…

And yet, we had never actually met in person (wild, right?)

Until that Thursday, and let me tell you - all the feelings.

It was one of those full-circle moments that remind you just how powerful this space we’re in really is. The internet might connect us… but community is what brings it to life.

So here’s what I want you to take from this, especially if you’ve been sitting on the sidelines a little lately…

Put yourself in the room.
Say YES to the thing that feels slightly out of your depth.
Get closer to the energy you want to be part of.

Because you don’t need to have it all figured out to belong there.

You just need to decide that you do.

The Wealthy Woman CEO conference reminded me of that in the best possible way. And if you needed a nudge… consider this it.

I believe in you (always).
