interviews lifestyle natasha lee that girl Dec 09, 2022

Self-taught culinary arts Mogul Shaquin Thomas has taken the culinary world by storm

Being an entrepreneur has changed her life immensely. The vital component of Shaquin’s entrepreneurial style as the Soul To Table Catering owner is that she’s creative. She loves to cook just as much as she loves to serve her community.

Shaquin has two published cookbooks, Cooking with Soul To Table and Soul To Table Soup, available on Amazon. She plans to create a line of cookbooks for every occasion- appetizers, grill recipes, salads, Cocktails, and so on. Shaquin is working to develop recipes and content simultaneously to help her reach her goals.

I caught up with Shaquin to ask her about her journey so far.

Please tell us about your company, Soul To Table Catering and your journey as a Female CEO.

The journey has not been a walk in the park. However, they say anything worth having is worth working for, and I am blessed to be in a position to do what I love, have time for my family, and be able to serve my community. Success doesn’t come overnight. You have to be disciplined, learn and adjust to the ever-changing climate in your industry, and most importantly- know your genuine tribe. Surround yourself with people that genuinely want to see you succeed.

What is unique about your company?

The unique thing about my company is that I don’t specialize in a specific realm. Depending on your food preferences, I can prepare any food from sushi to lasagna to oxtails. Additionally, my company not only provides private chef services, but I also provide complimentary meals for veterans, first responders, police officers, and the less fortunate as well.

Are you currently involved with any other entrepreneurial endeavours?

I am working on a new cookbook, and a cooking show for various apps and cable networks is in the works, so stay tuned!

Describe the best moment you ever had in your career.

The best moment in my career was the first time I had an event for a celebrity, and my Daddy was alive. He was so proud of me, and I was just starting out. I couldn’t imagine seeing his face now as I have accomplished so many more goals. I do it all for my Daddy!

What have you never done before that you hope to accomplish soon?

I have always wanted to cook live on a TV set in front of an audience. I would love to experience that!

What would you like our readers to know about your business/brand?
