Strictly Speaking. Your Story Matters

A couple of weeks ago, I sat in a room full of amazing women and shared my story. The unpolished, real-life, behind-the-scenes kind. The type where doubt and courage tango like they're on Strictly - all sequins, missteps, smeared eyeliner and unexpected lifts that make your stomach flip (you can switch this up to Dancing With The Stars if you're one of our USA sisters). 

I was speaking at the Women of Steel event at the Dakota Hotel in Newcastle (stunning, by the way), and as I looked around the table at all of the incredibly talented people. I had a thought: 

"Our story holds power - but only when we give it a voice."

Every woman in that room had a story. So do you. Whether you're just starting out, shifting direction, or questioning everything, your journey has value. And I promise you, someone needs to hear it.

We're often taught to polish our experiences until they sparkle, but the truth is... It's the cracks that let others see themselves in us. Your story doesn't have to be perfect; it just has to be yours. Unashamed. Unedited. Unapologetic.

There is power in showing up as the real you.

There is healing in telling the unvarnished truth.

As one of my all time faves Ci Ci Reagan, word-gasm extraordinaire puts it "It's time to own your much-ness!"

And there is real magic in knowing you're not the only one feeling what you're feeling. 

That's why community matters so much. It's not just about being seen, it's about feeling held. Supported. Understood. Heard.

So this week, let this be your reminder:

You don't have to do it all alone and you're not too much - you're exactly who this space was made for.
