92% Coffee, 8% Dry Shampoo

By Tricia Scott.

Some days this whole business owner thing feels like its stitched together with caffeine, dry shampoo, and the belief that maybe, just maybe, you can get through the day without dropping too many balls. Amiright?

You’ve shown up on a few hours’ sleep. Woken in the middle of the night on your lovely holiday in sheer terror that your out-of-office isn’t switched on and probably answered emails with a toddler hanging off your hip. You’ve rewritten a sales page in your head while pushing a trolley through the supermarket. You’ve pitched, posted, or presented with hair that hasn’t seen shampoo in a suspicious number of days (Hi, it’s me ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿผ‍โ™€๏ธ usually in Asda minutes before closing grabbing cat food and Candy Kittens like my life depends on it).

And now, here we are. The end of the school holidays is in sight. Out-of-office replies are switching off. The rhythm of “normal life” is starting to hum again.

And yet, you’re tired. You’ve carried summer on your shoulders while still trying to keep your business afloat. The juggling act is real, and sometimes it feels like you’re the only one holding all the pieces together.

This is the real CEO life.

Not the picture-perfect desks or the 5am miracle mornings the internet loves to sell us (spare meeee ๐Ÿ™„). Not the endless energy and perfectly batched content calendars.

It’s this. The messy middle. The scrappy magic. The half-finished coffee, the client call squeezed in between snack and nap times, and the brilliant idea that arrives while you’re picking up the 1000,000 piece of lego from the living room floor.

And it counts. All of it.

Because what you’re building isn’t just a business, it’s an actual life. And the fact that you’re doing it in the middle of the beautiful chaos of everything else? That’s not a weakness. That’s a strength most people will never understand.

So if today feels like a blur held together by (probably cold) espresso shots and sheer willpower, I see you. And if you're reminiscing about when Bank Holidays were a day off in a beer garden remember, you’re not behind. You’re not failing. You’re in it. You’re building. You’re becoming.

Keep going. The world needs exactly what you’ve got to offer and it will be glorious.

I believe in you (always).
