SO, SUSAN, WHAT’S YOUR STORY?

Juggling the day to day duties of Secretary/P.A. to Directors of a major Importer/Exporter, and racing home to eat, change, then dash across the North East to various venues, over months and years, was a natural progression into full time being self employed, when redundancy released me from that employment.

I have to say, I was quite delighted! Whilst I loved the job and all those I worked with, it was my inner dream to work from home and wellbeing centres, in holistic therapy and spiritual mentoring.  I got my wish and I was elated. I have been extremely perceptive since my early childhood.  This psychic ability and spiritual awareness led me as a teenager into situations where others, male and female, would come to me with their issues, problems and deep concerns.  I was like an agony aunt yet, being so young, and shy always listened and gave support and advice as best I could.

My best friend David bought me my first Tarot Deck.  I did not open them for months until one evening, I carefully unboxed the very simplistic designed cards.  My connection with them grew and grew and soon others were requesting readings from me.  This, coupled with my mediumship soared into intuitive coaching, and the sensitivity and severity of loss and grief was eased for others, through the channelling of guidance from the Spirit World.

My self employment allowed me to channel my energies into Reiki Healing and Crystal Therapy too and all the while groups of ladies and gents, would seek my services and tuition, so Meditation groups would be attended in various halls and wellbeing centres right across the region.   I have been working for myself for ten years now.. wow! Where did that time go!?   I suppose because each day I am doing what I love, helping others to make the very best of their situations and inspiring then encouraging through my support for them to reach their goals.

My passions also involve writing, travel, photography and art.   I love the creativity I express as an Aquarian.

Every day is a brilliant opportunity to spread happiness and do good for others.  I spend my time wisely with those amazing people who have endured and continue to conquer life dilemas.

WHAT’S IMPORTANT TO YOU?

Honesty.  Full stop.

It has to be the most important feature in a person whether it be family, friend, or work associate.  Without it we have no foundation of trust.  Trust is love, and love flows. Integrity for me, is the foundation of any relationship.  Some people find it very difficult of course to be honest with themselves.  In the true light of day, if you are unable to look within and find your inner soul speak, then all life is a struggle.  Listening to your heart is paramount in self-honesty.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE NON-WORK-RELATED THING TO DO?

Travel.

I have been very fortunate, from the age of 18 and my first trip to Jersey, the travel bug bit and the passion for adventure bled through my veins. I am like the air, I need to move freely, expressing and observing and nurturing all.   Travel has no restrictions, whether it be a drive or walk for miles along a coastline, through dense forest, up mountains, around lakes, through and over rivers, and generally drinking in cultural art displayed in towns and cities.  I am often inspired to paint with oils and acrylics, and definitely, absolutely always have the camera with me.

I have two Canon cameras, but often the mobile phone lens is more frequently used.   I always have pens, paper and journals with me, I love to write!  My greatest fear was conquered when taking a cable car to the top of sizzling smouldering Mount Etna.  I love Sicily, South of France, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, New York, Florida, Holland, Austria, Croatia, Hong Kong, China, Spain, the Balearics, and the beauty of Santorini.  I love Italy, Rome, Venice, Lake Garda and the fabulous Verona. Reading this makes me wonder if I should become a travel blogger too!

I would love to live in gorgeous Paris for a month or two! I just love it!  I believe in the Law of Attraction so that is on my radar!

HOW DO YOU HANDLE CRITICISM?

Who me?   If it is worthwhile and constructive, then yes, I can accept it.  No one likes criticism – the word itself is negative, so I would try to remain unaffected and move into the positive aspect of the observations.

WHATS THE ONE THING YOU WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?

I have swam with dolphins and swim through the oceans of life with that same healing energy connection to those in need.

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST EVER JOB?

Following full time Secretarial College, I worked as a very shy and quiet Clerk Typist for a local company who hired out pool tables.  I stayed a year.

I have worked in schools,  police hq,  Governors Team, Durham University, Cross Country Trains, Berghaus, an estate agents, in the motor trade, and for a fab company before establishing myself as self employed.   During all these jobs, I worked in my spiritual and holistic field on evenings and weekends.

It seems like I was always destined to work with lots of people.
