Meet Peter Abrams
Best selling author, speaker, motivator, actor and comedian there really isn't much that Peter can't turn his hand to given half a chance. Not only that but he is a multi business owner, all before he turns 20. His infectious enthusiasm and incredible energy fill any room before you are ever introduced, talk about a powerhouse! Mentored for the last three years by Russell Brand there's not much Peter hasn't learned along the way and he's here with us not only to answer questions about his journey but awesomely as a regular guest editor, lending a male perspective to the community. I know you're going to adore him!
So, Peter, What’s your story?
Just a city boy, born and raised in south Detroit, took the midnight train going anywhere...
What’s your brand mission?
Basically try my best to make people laugh, get some attention and money from that and then use that to try and give other young people the same chance that I was lucky enough to get.
If you were stranded on a desert island what three things would you have with you and why?
A banana, a hoover and a Slinky... you really don't want to know why.
How do you handle criticism?
Badly, I'm an actor! On a serious note, I try to see why the criticism was made and if you can learn something then do, if the criticism was nonsense, ignore and move on.
What do you want to be known for?
What has been the most exciting project you have been involved with?
Do you have a spiritual practise?
I do actually meditate, just to calm me the f%ck down! It's been my saving grace, I also tried Yoga... I liked the lying down, not so much the hard bit.
On a scale of 1-10 how weird are you?
They broke the mould when they made me.
What have you found difficult on your journey?
To be taken seriously... so I became a comedian and made them laugh until they listened!
What’s your top tip for entrepreneurs reading this article?
Honestly? Don't give a damn what anybody thinks, I don't mean that in some fluffy motivational way... I mean literally do not care what anyone thinks of your dream, because everyone will tell you its no possible and then be the first lining up to be part of it... find your focus and put the work in, its quite simple really.
What would you change about your journey or what would you avoid if you could do it over again?
I'd not answer the desert island question like I did, I don't know what came over me.
What’s the number one played song on your iPod?
If I told you, you'd lose all respect for me (#Britneyb%tch)
What do you know for sure?
Right now is the oldest I've ever been and the youngest I'll ever be again, the same goes for you... mind-blown!
Do you have a book or favourite podcast recommendation for our Female CEO members?
I've heard that Our Story Called Life is being hailed as the most important book of the 21st Century... probably that one! (You can find it on the bookshelf)
What’s your favourite non work related thing to do?
All jokes aside, my work is what I love to do and I am grateful for that, I also like to travel (and you know, find myself)
